Once in a great while, a lead that comes in catches you off guard. The following gave all of us in the office a great laugh today! When asked “What would you like to control?” This guy responds…
I want to control my wife and kids – but as this is not possible, I would be interested in controlling the environment we live in. Not only are we interested in greater comfort and convenience, but we are pursuing more energy saving activities that can reduce the guilt of our consumption.
We have the typical simple home theater setup which has the wonderful bonus of 6 remote controls. While I prize the family status of “King of the Remotes”, rescuing my wife and daughters from remote hell doesn’t really win me many points anymore.
Extending control throughout our house for HVAC and lighting would be fantastic – again not just for the convenience but also to see what quantifiable energy and cost savings would result.
While some of my motiviations are altruistic, at the end of the day we are looking for ways to reduce the cost of living while sustaining a similar (or enhanced) lifestyle.
If you haven’t submitted your entry for the chance to win $5,000 of Control4 gear… don’t hesitate, it runs until December 31st. Would be a great way to start off the new year! Good luck to this participant, Architechtronics is cheering for you!
p.s. I will be dreaming about the possibility of a “pause, play, and fast forward function” for my husband. I think you’re on to something. 😉
