We just received news on two things:

1.) Vudu will stop selling their product as we know it today. It will no longer be a hard drive, but will now be embedding their services into devices built by others, ie Blu-ray players or HDTV’s from various manufactures (except Sony and Panasonic, currently).

What does this mean to you? If you want a seperate device (which we love!) you should call and place your order with us BEFORE this Friday, February 26th. I know, it’s short notice… but we just were informed of this today.

If you are an existing customer… you will see no interruption in service and you should be able to enjoy your product as you always have!

2.) Vudu was purchased today by Wal-Mart. This seems to be a move to compete with other digital retailers such as Amazon. However, we are sad to see Vudu change from an independent dealer base to a big-box store. Hopefully Wal-Mart’s financial background will further the product and make it even better for the future. Stay tuned.

If you have any questions, let us know, we’ll do our best to provide answers from the bare bones information we have!
