At Architechtronics we strive to tread lightly. Our aim is to minimize the impact our company leaves on our environment. Although there is no perfect solution, we strive to use the best practices and to raise the level of industry and consumer awareness.
"We believe there is always a way to reduce impact on our environment, and we continue to look for every opportunity.
~Jennifer Griffin, Architechtronics."
It's good to be green. We encourage positive environmental practices in the home by providing information to prospective clients on how they save energy, natural resources, and money. We will work closely with any client who desires to implement Green Living Standards in their home.
Energy efficient products. Whenever possible, we use and recommend products that have Energy Star approval.
Reduce the amount of copper used in the customers home. We often recommend wireless products or products such as touchscreens that can reduce the number of components in the home—reducing the copper.
Source local products. Whenever possible, we choose local products to cut down on the shipping costs, Co2 omissions, and packaging material.
Membership. We are a member of the US Green Building Council and the NW Ecobuilding Guild and support their initiatives in any way we can.
Office and onsite recycling. It’s easier to throw it away, but of course… we choose to recycle! We expect our employees to recycle all office paper and packaging materials.
Electronic Files. We try to minimize printing, and store what we can electronically. Of course, when we need to print, we use 30-100% Post Consumer Recycled paper.
Shut off all computer products over the weekend. The powering of computers alone creates more than 35 tons of CO2 annually. Simply remembering to power down for the weekend will cut our part by 1/3.
