Architechtronics Releases Chameleo Audio, A Device That Enables Popular Audio Distribution Systems (Russound, Nuvo, and Nexus) To Control HD Video Switchers.
September 15, 2006: Architechtronics, a home technology manufacturer based in Bothell, WA announces their newest product, Chameleo
AUDIO. Chameleo
AUDIO is the first product on the market to provide a simple connection between best-selling audio distribution systems (Russound, Nuvo, or Nexus) and the top 3 HD Matrix switchers (Key Digital, Gefen, or Network Technologies).
Chameleo AUDIO allows future and existing audio distribution customers the ability to control high definition matrix switchers at a very reasonable cost. “As High Definition manufacturers push to make HDTV a standard in homes, this product will keep these new HD switches in sync with already installed audio systems" explains Architechtronics Founder Brett Griffin.
Chameleo AUDIO connects to the audio systems and the matrix switch via a RS-232 connection, and after a simple setup performs all the functions passively. Simply change the source in the master bedroom to the HD Tivo. The audio system continues to handle the appropriate audio and Chameleo
AUDIO instructs the HD Matrix switch to take control of the video feed.
The Chameleo AUDIO is the second product in a growing family of control devices. Chameleo
AUDIO will be shipping in October 2006. For more information on Chameleo
AUDIO, including pricing and distribution please visit the website: www.architechtronics.com
