A: Typically you want to start
planning for a system during the initial rough in stage of the home,
although Control4's wireless capabilities allow you to integrate
a system at any stage or even in an existing home.
Q: What's the starting price range of a Control4 system?
A: Prices range depending on the size of your project. A basic Control4
system starts as low as $999.
Q: Do I have to re-run wire or tear down walls throughout my home to utilize
the system?
A: No. Control4 systems can work with your existing wiring in most cases.
Q: Do I have to buy my electronics from you guys?
A: No. You are free to purchase all of your electronics and we can integrate
them during the installation.
Q: If I already have existing electronics or systems in my home, can
you integrate them?
A: Yes. Any existing home theaters, audio systems, etc can be integrated into
the system.
Q: Can I control the system through my computer or iPhone?
A: Yes. With a subscription to 4Sight, you can control your home from any
internet connection or iPhone.
Q: How long does it take to install the system?
A: Installations vary depending on the size of the project. Installation
times can last anywhere from 1 day to the end of the construction process.
Q: Do you guys install the entire system or just certain components?
A: Yes. We install and program all components of the system from beginning to
end.
Q: Is the system really that easy to use?

Yes, with customization and tweaking the goal is to
make it as simple to use as possible. Programming the system
to complement your lifestyle is what home automation is all about.
Q: What do i do if there's a power outage?
A:
Everything should restore
to the proper state and the automation system will recover as if
all rooms were turned off. This process can take 10-20 minutes to
complete however.
Q: What should I do if the remote isn't working?
A:
One of the most common problems could be that the batteries are
low. Try removing and reinstalling, wait 30 seconds then
press the red 4 button, 4 times. In
a worse case scenario rebooting the controllers will fix the problem
as well.
Q: What should I do if I can't get online?
A:
We suggest removing power from the router & modem.
Wait 30 seconds and plug them back in. After a few minutes
the Internet should come back, if not we would suggest giving your
provider a call to confirm if there are any outages.
